The Author
The author, James Rappai, is a Gaudiya Vaishnava scholar with strong Christian antecedents. He was born on 28 December 1971 into a Christian family of Kerala, India, that has its roots in the very region on the Malabar Coast, where St. Thomas, the direct disciple of Jesus Christ, established the foundation of his very own church, some two thousand years ago. It is here, as he himself says in awe, that you would find incredibly staunch Christian families,who have
sent up to fifty generation of sons into priesthood!
James was attracted to the Bible and religion from the very beginning. However, it was in graduate school, while studying Industrial Design that this latent attraction truly and insistently came to the fore. He undertook an intense search for the truth—a journey that took him to various spiritual centers of India. The search led him to many ancient centers of learning, including to one that taught a brand of religion that astonishingly mirrored the very same Christian ideologies with which he was fondly familiar. Here he learnt Indian philosophy for five years from a teacher of a bona fide Indian School of Thought.

It was during this spiritual sabbatical that James picked up a deep concern. Science was waging a stealth battle against religion and that their primary weapon was in fact, deception. What especially irked him was the fact that when this world literally crackles with spiritual energy and everything—literally everything—functions in a barely concealed mystical process, modern-day science and scientists have put their considerable influence to deliberately deny this fact. The truth is, any in-depth study into matter would readily reveal that after a certain threshold depth, the ‘Newtonian mechanics’ of known science gives way to its alien and effervescent ‘living force mechanics’ that behaves in the most astonishing manner. From their forefront position, science can very well see this. Yet, all they do is suppress this fact and continue to proffer and peddle ‘cogwheel explanations’ that sound woefully inadequate.
A classic example is science’s comment on death. Now, death has been rationally perceived from time immemorial as the departing of the ‘living being’ from a ‘vessel or vehicle’ like body. Modern-day science however balks at admitting to the obvious ‘departed’ conclusion and instead fuddles, fumbles and flimflams around with a chemical ideology.
Modern-day science’s campaign of deception against the Supreme, one that we willfully, so gladly embrace, comes at an unimaginably hefty price. Denying the Supreme, which is made out to be a progressive ideology, will unfortunately be interpreted as exactly the opposite by the fellas who actually run the world at the office of the cosmic intelligence. They would find no reason at all not to deal with this transgression in the manner prescribed in their rulebooks.
Exposing modern-day science’s campaign of deception against religion struck a chord with James. 'Enlightened' with this knowledge, he returned to his roots, to the religion of his forefathers, to the Bible and specifically to the cruel cross it was being made to bear. To his now well-grounded sense of spiritualism, the Bible’s cross (of missing archaeological evidence), which had profoundly disturbed him in his youth, suddenly seemed like a classic case of tiresome 'science-sponsored' complicity.
‘The Bible Betrayed,’ is the bittersweet first fruit of his endeavors. It highlights an appalling and clear-cut case of wholesale deception. Modern-day scholars have resurrected a whole belt, complete with castles, kings and horses, entirely from the hot East Mediterranean air! Not surprisingly, this surrealistic creation is been used with devastating effect, by accident or by design, to strip the Bible off its historicity and thereby its credibility.
